I should have listened to myself back in 95 and bought Dell. Oh well.

*O.T.*

jbn3,

Thanks for sharing the "Jocks vs Nerds."

When I think beyond the money and compare the two professions I don't recall hearing Nerds:

- Complaining about their busy schedule
- Getting involved in crimes (sex, drugs, etc)
- Say they are tired of their work
- Wanting to get away from the everyday person/fan/etc
- "Blowing" their fortunes without a clue where it all went
- Needing to make severe lifestyle changes for personal fulfillment

There's a lot of good "jocks" out there, but the "nerds" SEEM to be better adjusted to life (in general.) That's not easy for me to say since I identify with sports more so than technology.

**OT** RE: Jordan 270 years ....

And meanwhile, if Gates manages to accumulate his 54.4 billion at 5 per cent, he ends up with $28,622,637,380,000,000 (28.6 quadrillion dollars) (there may be some problems in the 8th decimal place because I am using a '94 unexchanged Pentium!). Of course there are other problems. We assume that both Bill and Michael are able to clone themselves and still escape estate and inheritance taxes. Also, who is going to pay Gates that kind of interest? I think he had better move some of his money into more sustainable investments than MSFT and T-bills. Maybe something with long-term profitability, like Internet stocks.

Bachman: Is this you who is buying up all the call options on Dell?<g>

"One options broker for a retail firm noted call buyers were trickling back into technology stocks. ''We've been seeing people come back into the high-tech game again,'' he said.

Dell Computer Corp. (Nasdaq:DELL - news) call volume was heavy, with more than 28,000 of the options trading today in the three busiest strikes alone."
