The following purchase recommendation and earnings estimates are in the investor booklet that I hope you will be receiving very soon. It was written by an analyst from Communications Capital Corporation, dated August 19, 1998:

EVDS has successfully field tested it's CAPSCAN device in below ground fuel tanks for monitoring hazardous fluids, and provides the most accurate, convenient and inexpensive solution on the market. CAPSCAN is the only radio/electronic measuring device on the market; the majority of station owners still use a wooden dip stick to measure fuel levels which doesn't comply to EPA regulations. Major oil companies have expressed a strong level of interest in the product (a former senior executive of Texaco this week accepted the position of Chairman of the Company's Advisory Board). Manufactured prototypes will be available in several weeks, with initial orders expected in early October, 1998. As a result, we believe EVDS will be profitable in the December fourth quarter, and has enormous growth potential. We estimate that the company will capture a 10% to 20% share of the $1.5 billion U.S. underground fuel tank market, and will be a significant factor in the above ground fuel market, the liability insurance market associated with hazardous fuel, and the home heating oil market, as well as the respective international markets. We believe a mandated product, with little competition, and significant profit margins make Environmental Digital Services a potential home-run appreciation prospect. Using a price/earnings multiple of 20, our target is $12 a share over the next twelve months, and over $20 over the next two years.

Well it's a long way from today's close to $20, but you never know.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to make some phone calls and share their findings with the thread today. I appreciate it. Although you can never be certain what the future will bring I see plenty of evidence that the people posting and reading this thread are going the extra mile to complete their due diligence. It's my hope that we will all be well rewarded for our efforts by future gains in this stock.

<<As to the shares, he said there are 50M authorized, with 37.5M treasury shares. Of the remaining 12.5M shares, there are 3.1M in the free-trading float. The rest of the shares are held by insiders or employees.>>

This contradicts what Bill Wolters told me! He said only 5m outstanding with 3m of that in the float.

Ellen, note you said 50m authorized, this is the number I previously lacked. But if 37.5 are in the treasury and the remaining 12.5 are outstanding, that means there are no more shares to issue unless the treasury shares get reauthorized or the shareholders approve an increase in the authorized stock.

I will be out of the office tomorrow but will can the Company possible tomorrow or for sure on Wednesday to clear this up. Also, who is the transfer agent, let's go "straight to the horse's mouth".

I spoke with Jim Crehan this afternoon. He was on the road headed back to the trade show in Las Vegas. He told me that not only has interest in the CAPSCAN for USTs been running extremely high but he is seeing great interest in the upcoming product for the home heating oil market. There are 4 million home heating oil tanks in the New England area alone.

EVDS will be able to manufacture a device that will monitor these tanks for around $25. They will sell for an average price of $79. EVDS will be making direct sales of this product but they will also be sold at Sears, K-Mart and WALMART stores.

If anyone doubts there is a market for this product at this price then read the following information from a competitor who sells a product for more than twice that amount:
