Big Losses, Re -- What do you think will happen when three market leaders announce K6/K6-2 based machines? The stock may go up for a day or two, but it will begin its descent right back. Everyone knows that AMD hasn't made a profit in 3 years, and could end up in default soon. See, selling it cheap to OEM's DECREASES AMD's chances of meeting the creditors covenants.

BTW, where have you been hiding ?? Polishing up your resume ?? The downgrades could be related to worse than expected revenues or losses to be announced next month. " Since Compaq and IBM and HP are already using the K6 and K6-2 and the stock is still below $20, I guess nothing much will happen. Re: "Rumor has it that AMD will meet their 4M CPU quota for this quarter. " I have heard a rumor that AMD will ship 4.5 Million K6's this quarter. However, profits are not very likely. How can this be? Paul

Profuts/Losses - Re: "I don't know why you're creating all of this fear uncertainty and doubt. " I'm not creating all of this fear uncertainty and doubt. AMD designed tested and shipped faulty CPUs. I think you ought to vent your frustration on the management of AMD - lay the fault where it belongs. Faulty devices are leading customers to fear, uncertaint and doubt. Paul
