Your reasoning is very weak. Just because Intel sees a nice incremental opportunity with Linux doesn't mean that they think something is "wrong" with NT. Intel understands perfectly well (as you should, if you invest in this sector) that NT servers are continuing to gain market share rapidly and that NT represents a huge opportunity.

And why do you think Linux is growing in popularity at such a rapid rate? There is a growing recognition that NT has serious limitations, and Intel has obviously caught wind of that information.

NT is a fine operating system for offices. It is grossly inadequate for environments which require stability, security or automated tool flow.
