MU released their 4th quarter earnings after the close today, easily beating both the First Call estimate of -54 cents and the whisper number of -57 cents. They only lost 42 cents per share. More importantly, they were able to raise prices in the latter part of the quarter and this could be interpreted as a bottom in the business cycle and improving fundamentals ahead. MU was trading at 33 7/8 after hours, up 1 3/8 from the regular close. SOX stocks should be higher tomorrow, but you know how that goes.

When did the news about the CFO resigning leak out? Is VLSI planning to handle this the same way that they handled Beyer's resignation, i.e. don't say anything to the press and let it leak out? The only way this could become a big deal is if people are afraid that he left because of accounting irregularities. I seriously doubt if this is the case, and it's more likely that he left because Stein is such an ass to work for (so I've heard). It looks like about the only executive that is left is the one we want to get rid of.
