Gordo / Upton Resources & Preferred Natural Gas Operators.

Let me first make comment on Upton. The primary reason I eliminated holdings was that they are a dominant producer of crude. these companies are currently out of favor and I expect the situation to continue as such over the intermediate term. No doubt, the market has been cruel as far as battering down the share price. There is value here at the current time. If you are willing to hold shares more than 1 to 1-1/2 years while the price of crude oil improves - you will probably be rewarded for your patience. (Assuming your have bought low). Personally, Upton has been very rewarding for me because I bought into it at low prices dduring an unfavorable period. Perhaps history will repeat itself.

If I was in the situation of having bought high, I wouldn't hesitate to sell to retake a position in a natural gas producer, especially if I was looking for a write off to apply against any profits.

Which brings me to the 2nd part of your message. Most of the companies I list in the Portfolio are predominant natural gas producers. Of these, I place a high value on Genesis Exploration, Berkley Petroleum, Rio Alto Exploration and Chieftain International. These are the companies I would begin to accumulate shares in.

Keep in mind, just one person's opinion.
