Nihil, OTOTOT>>>I'm not sure that Clinton would know what
you were talking about -- besides, he has other things on his mind.<<<

At least Clinton/Gore have been out to Silicon Valley a few times, showing (feigning?) interest in high-tech. Better than Bush, one of whose appointees was famous (so famous I forget her name <g>) for shrugging "computer chips, potato chips, what's the difference?"

Too bad C&G planted the kiss of death on Silicon Graphics whom they visited a couple of times. Used to be considered a good place to work for computer types.

Gore is actually a champion of high-tech, but makes up for it by his environmental championing. That's definitely a good cause but the street doesn't like it.

Nihil - Re: " I think Gates would be more interested in learning that one of his subs was running a competitor's OS"

I think Gates already knows this.

As for Clinton having other things on his mind, I'd like to know what mind?
