*OT (Kinda')* - Since many of the people on this thread are also interested in LOR, G* and, by association, IRIDF, I recommend picking up the Oct. issue of Wired magazine for an interesting, soft-technical cover story on Iridium and some side articles on the mainstream satellite ventures, including LOR/G*, and the business of launching services. The story on IRIDF didn't have much in the way of base data that we all haven't been exposed to but did show the human side of the venture; how it came together and got to where it is today. I thoroughly enjoyed the article and found it filled in some of the cracks for me. Best.
