Angusb,

<<<I would like to know whether TON is anything that AZNT can patent and get approved as a sweetner?? Are they even trying for approval?? Is TON simply modified (or unmodified) Stevia that they are flogging to boost their share price??>>>

So would I ... I understand that they ARE trying for approval, but I do not have first-hand knowlege of that. I understand that a few dacades ago, the Dr. started off with a Stevia plant and through grafting, etc, he evolved a new species. However, I have also heard that he DISCOVERED a plant in the jungle. I don't know.

I do know that I have tried both Stevia and TON in several applciations. The results have been GREAT. It may be wishful thinking, but it does seem that there is NO aftertaste with TON. Both do indeed add a sweet characteristic to the foods.

Tomorrow is chocolate candy day, and I'll be making chocolate and nut candy and will let everyone know the results.
