Anyone in or near San Diego that can check this one out. It would be interesting to know who made the photovoltaic panels being used.

ADVISORY...for Sept. 29, 1998

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 1998

WHAT: San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will
unveil a solar carport, topped with
photovoltaic panels, designed to charge up
to six electric vehicles (EVs). A caravan
of different EVs, including a Toyota,
Honda, Nissan, and EV1, will drive up to
the carport for a charge. There are less
than 10 solar carports in the nation.

WHERE: County Administration Building, in the
parking lot near the corner of Pacific
Highway and Grape Street.
The carport is on the Grape Street side of
the parking lot.

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 29, at noon.

WHO: County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Pam
Slater; County Supervisor Ron Roberts;
Greg Haddow, marketing manager for SDG&E.

VISUALS: EVs driving up to the carport, receiving a
charge; a crowd of 100 or more to view the
carport, including a number of solar power
experts.
