Dell Computer Corp. (DELL US) was reiterated ''buy'' by analyst...

I think they are just repeating their 'buy' recommendation rather than upgrading, but it doesn't hurt. :-)

Teri,

Thanks for your information. However, I no longer trust the analyst since most of them are just cheer leaders. I will still buy DELL even if they downgrade the issue if I believe that the fundamentals of the company remains intact. I guess that the shareholders know more than the analysts do(case in hand, CPQ!).

Since DELL broke the old resistance at 55 11/16 in a relatively convincing way, I guess that it's safe to say that it will be very hard for DELL to go back below 60 for a sustained period of time. The DELL trading pattern is rather clear: when a new high is established after weeks or months of sideline trading, the issue usually enjoys a 10-40% gain over the previous high. It's almost guaranteed that the issue will test previous high sometime down the road, but we are heading toward 75 before the next earning report anyway.

good luck,
larry!
