Most analysts rate it a hold...

It is not true that most analysts are "enthusiastic". Most rate it a hold. With the well known "grade inflation" among analysts, that's the same as a sell. Earnings estiamtes have trended down in last 90 days. I know, shouldn't use a pure quant approach. But there is nothing unique about AMZN, except that it was first in Internet book sales.

Down open?

Japanese market getting shitcanned as we speak, ignoring what Greenspan will do tomrrow....Nippon steel will have one billion buck loss, mostly attributable to Nippon Semiconductor...Gilette will make huge layoff, international sales going off cliff....MU has huge reduction in revenues....Mattel worried about declining sales to TOY..

But don't worry! There is always a few Yen under the pillow to buy that Dell computer and buy those AMZN books and CDs !! So what if the Japanese won't be able to shave or hang on to their steel job, they can order books with their new Dell PC....
