Yup! Sure looks like it. At the interest rate announcement/sell off, the bid on IBIS dropped 1/2 but the ask dropped 1/16. "The last" never changed.

I've been asking on the AAPL thread, but no one has answered yet. I've noticed that Datek's "the last" is not always the last transaction on Live!Quote's transaction list. There is usually several transactions at a price above or below "the last" in the list as an "ask" or a "bid" but chronologically after the one quoted by Datek. Is there a mechanism at play here that I am unaware of? It seems to me that "the last" ought to mean the last transaction.

Do you know anything about this? Have you ever noticed?

See! Right now it's 3:00 est.

Datek shows:
bid = 11 1/2
ask = 11 3/4
last = 12
vol = 20,400

Same as the last 25 minutes.

Live!Quotes shows at least 4 trades since the last one at 12.
14:43:20 - 11 1/2 bid 1000 shares
14:43:20 - 11 3/4 ask 300 shares
14:43:20 - 11 1/2 dntk 1000 shares
14:43:20 - 11 3/4 ask 400 shares

The last 12 was:
14:24:54 - 12 ask 1000 shares

The last trade that was not a bid or ask was:
14:19:28 - 12 green 800 shares

Green indicates a new high for the day, yet there were trades on Live!Quote that went through at 12 1/8 and 12 1/4 before the green one above.

Anyone care to explain?

Please?
