Xplorer, don't know how you can buy "new shares one day and sell old shares the next and take a loss. If your purchase is within 30 days before you sell for a tax loss it's a wash sale and you can't take a loss the same as if you bought "new shares within 30 days after. Unless you're making some other point I don't get
