Brian,
RE Orcl vs. Ifmx
Let me cast a vote for Oracle. I don't hear anyone speaking of Informix these days. I do know of several apps targeted for Oracle products however. And Oracle has had a nice run in the last month....

Getting tougher for an IS manager to justify taking risks on IFMX purchase vs. ORCL. Kind of like the old days when everyone was afraid to buy a non-IBM mainframe... You're not just buying a product now; you're buying support and commitment down the road.

just my two cents,
Chuck

Brian, Tremendous overhead supply in the market at 8300+ (DOW) area. I thought we would at least test this area but it was not to be. Going back to test 7450 area (a 2nd time) very quickly. A third retest, if it does occur, WILL FAIL MISERABLY. Bottom Line: 6600 area basebuilding by the end of October. OMHO. J.T.
