I believe the recent move upwards was due to speculation on short covering with the recent troubles of that hedge fund that had huge shorts on gold (can't remember the name). I believe the amount that needs to be covered is somewhere in the neighbourhood of 200 to 300 tons, according to the recent article I posted on the thread.

Nevertheless, I am sure that your gold puts would have been a great buy any other year, but we are having some unusual circumstances affecting the price of gold. Maybe things will work out your way.

Am waiting anxiously to see what happens tomorrow. Maybe I will have to stay up until 5:00 AM to see what happens with the Asia markets.

Take a look at LTL,T. Up nicely today.
Also a big increase in short position in the last couple of weeks. Maybe a short covering rally to help with there assay results. Good day trade.
