Well, here's the news. Whose patent was it?

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 1998--ESS Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:ESST) today announced that the lawsuit alleging patent infringement of U.S. Patent number 5,698,803 has been settled.

The lawsuit has been settled to the parties' mutual satisfaction and ESS Technology Inc. is now under license from Creative Technology LTD. regarding sales of its Maestro products. Further terms of the settlement are confidential.

Perhaps the Intel - Kodak announcement yesterday has increased speculation that ESST may be a target of INTC - either takeover or license revenues for their technology???
