You are right, I prefer the long side of things BUT I'll move to the short side when I have to......

There are a few schools of thought about shorting. Take a look at any chart and you will see price going up, down, then up again... It is NEVER a smooth ride up... Most times you can put up a Regression Channel to see which way the trend is going. If I were to short a stock I would insist that it be in a downward channel.

I know that there is a lot of money made shorting DELL, MSFT and the like but I would stay away. I would rather short a weak stock then a strong stock... Look at it's weekly chart and see what direction it's going in. If the weekly is going down and the daily is going down, chances are price will continue to go down.....

Right now, I'm long.....
