Interesting argument. I understand that IBM is now selling the same drive both as enterprise class and as a high end desktop for less. If IBM has a 7200 rpm desktop drive I would assume that is the one.
With Quantum's talk of much greater commonality with Fireball, it seems like they may already be moving in your direction.
