"Fall" is not the meeting translation - it's more picturing the realistic scenery: You draw out the "Kassenschublade" and turn it upside down - that fast that no coins and no bills fall from the table. After this you can sort and count how rich you got.

The term "sturz" comes from the kitchen: when the "Kuchen" is baked, the mother "stürzt" die "Form" head-under. (or the pudding...)

No flying coins - no parabolic functions - sorry.
