Paul,
Regarding blame,
"Almost all posters think this is a non-problem. They blame it on Microsoft.

So, I wouldn't be too worried. Microsoft will come to AMD's rescue."

A good company can always fix its mistake. Science cannot be advanced by sitting on one's rear end and hope for the aliens to come to the rescue.
regards,
sa

Paul, Re: "Of course, you should "hear" the explanations as to why the Intel 350, 400 and 450
MHz parts don't CRASH on Windows 95 ! You'd fall out of your chair laughing !"

Let me guess.

1. Just when the problem is going to occur, special logic on the Intel chip pinches off the clock that would cause the crash?

2. All Intel chips get a special dispensation, direct from Bill Gates on the fly, that cancels the "Windows Exception"?

3. Intel chips don't really run Windows 95, so they can't get the problem.
