DSA, re:"Do what a reasonable person do, buy INTC and be happy"

Excellent advice.

I wonder why AMD didn't catch this before releasing the part? Last time I looked Windows 95 was a rather important piece of software owned by a few million folks. Perhaps they saved time and resources by just not testing at all?

Dr. Doctor - Re: "Do what a reasonable person do, buy INTC and be happy."

Been there.

Done that.

Re: "Explain why Win-98 is ok? "

Probably because the K6-2 works with some software but not with others.

I think potential K6-2 customers should be aware that AMD's K6-2 may have hidden problems that lead to problems.

Perhaps the 350 MHz works with Windows 98 but not Windows 95.

That makes it compatible with only 50% of the software - on an admitedly crude sample basis.

What other software out there is the K6-2 incompatible with?

Paul
