When I talked to her about it weeks ago, she said that the board of directors had not considered it and that they had not discussed it with their investment bankers. She didn't say absolutely that it wouldn't happen. If you talk to CFO or CEOs, they will often tell you in terms of what hasn't happened yet or what isn't likely to happen but won't say that it can't or won't happen. All that AMZN told me was that they weren't considering another stock split at the time when the stock had moved to the 130 level. There is a post I made at the time about this - I had thought that a split might happen but reported that it was unlikely after talking to AMZN. In response to an analyst's question during the last CC, they said that because of the the junk bond that they had sufficient cash reserves to carry them for at least twelve more months so doing a secondary was probably out of consideration.

MM, we got a 1/4 point rate cut and AMZN is soaring through the roof just as you predicted! . . . NOT!
