A blank CD-Rom cost less than $2. That's 600MB.

Ausdauer, I have seen write-once CD-R media for as low as $.50 each. CD-RW media costs between $5 and $15 each and is not compatible with all CD-ROM drives.

The HP 8100i is the best buy available. 24x read and 4x write for CD-R. I bought one last week with 20 CD-R disks and jewel cases for ~$350 (including freight).
