Dear Ram: Please take note: "Peritus Software sets restructuring BILLERICA, Mass., Sept 29 (Reuters) - Peritus Software Services Inc., a software maintenance company, said Tuesday it would cut its workforce by close to a third, close several facilities and take a third quarter charge of $3.7 million as a result of a reduction in forecasted revenues. In addition to cutting costs, Peritus' restructuring is designed to refocus the company on its core services business and distance it somewhat from Year 2000 services, a company spokesman said in an interview. Peritus plans to lay off 90 employees out of its 300-person workforce, the spokesman said."
