Thanks for perspective Scott. Of course the big ones hold 330GB per tape. Uncompressed. So actually.....as large as they are not being anywhere near 16 times as large as the 20gig tapes you mentioned ....long term storage space advantages for the AXC line are substantial.And for those who store amounts of data ( oil service folks for instance) space becomes a real concern. If AXC ever pulls the trigger on quad density ( I suspect they already have the option to) that advantage will become twice as pronounced.
