Any comments in regards to the Yahoo rumors of a pending RECY/MTLM deal? Does it make sense for the two companies? Who wins/Who loses? Can they pull it off if they attempt it?

Ed,
Agree, nothing to cheer about at the moment. I think it will take a while and will have much to do with Asia, dumping suits and other factors.

Japan has traditionally enjoyed low interest rates. Their economy is basically closed and more controlled by the elite in business than most realize. The basic structure is screwey.

Your point deflation is well taken. Is the interest rate drop a symptom of it, or a response to it. Don't know.

In asia, relatively cheap money - and much from Japan - caused these economies to over accelerate. Now they are pulling back to where they should be although the pendulum must swing the other way first. They will come back - eventually.

Regards,
Dan
