Did annyone notice the following:

"We expect to use two-thirds of the funds for continuing product acquisition activities and, should the opportunity present, to facilitate merger and acquisition activity in what we view as a currently depressed market for biotechnology equities..."

Any guesses on who LGND might be looking at. There are certainly some good small research companies with depressed share prices and several right in LGND's San Diego backyard.

Really nice deal. My only objection is that as usual this news was obviously out and acted upon prior to the release. This is probably what drove the price up in the last week and probably accounts for the sell off.

In the medium to longer term the deal solves a lot of potential financing problems. BTW I had not noticed the designated use for about 2/3 of the funds. Thanks, for not assuming we all would have seen it. Am amazed that I missed it!!
