<< newly hired female associate lawyer asked the male partner >>

Had the partner asked the newly-hired lawyer out, I might agree with you. There is still the risk that the newly-hired lawyer will come back at a later time with a charge of harassment, denying that it had ever been her idea. That's one of the main risks with supervisor-subordinate relationships. The supervisor will have to prove he/she did NOT do something.

<<in the credits it says all the scripts are reviewed by 4 separate law forms for legal correctness>>

I would guess that the reviews relate to legal issues raised as part of the legal work performed by the firm in the show. They wouldn't want to make errors in the way they present cases on the show. They most likely do not review the entire show trying to guarantee that either no one appears to breaking laws or that such flaws get punished.

Give the show time - the harassment issue may yet come up.

Barry White songs?

This is making me nostalgic for the 80's. Death to disco.

Michelle - re: Ally McBeal (sort of <<OT>>):

One of the few shows my wife and I try not to miss, along with Frasier and 3rd Rock.

I think it's great comedy but you've got to admit, you really can't call a legal firm with a unisex bathroom in a fantasy-driven TV comedy representative of law firms or the law.

Stand by - if one of the other women doesn't kill her off "accidentally," I'd venture the issue does come up.
