They were working on the solution and responded publicly when it was questioned. Intel on the other hand sat on their asses for 2 years without fixing the problem. Consumers had to boycott before they responded. IBM had to threaten them by not shipping any flawed Pentium system. Talking about Intel "ripping off" their consumers. They ripped me off too. I owned a Pentium 133 with that FPU bug.
