I never predicted Dow 6000. I said something like was a worst case possibility IF we had widespread financial collapse. Including large parts of the Japanese banking system, Latin American real meltdown, and failures spreading widely to U.S. and European banking systems. I never predicted any of that. I did say the market had not priced in those worst case far outlier possibilities. I would say there is an even chance that we'll go lower than the prior lows, down into the 7000 or so area.

I agree about earnings season, but it will be mixed. Qcom will probably do well. I haven't sold what I picked up a few weeks ago. But I expect to get some opportunities to pick up some more lower in the near term, before the Nov. release.

marginmike, With the NT warning today it seems obvious to me that the companies who are more in "alignment" with GSM are experiencing more difficulty recently than CDMA dominante companies, ie LU. Ericy is hinting about pre-warning, Alcatel already did. Do you see any connection?

Michael
