I guess you did not see the news story the Lead anchor did yesterday evening on ABC NEWS at 5:30pm CST. Some company is working with Holograms. They have used it to build a 3d representation of the Human heart. Its going to eventually be used to train doctors. They said when you probe it (with the probes connected to the video unit) it feels real and has texture. They also have built full 3D representation of other body parts. It was an interesting news segment, but it still is 5 years away from full implementation.
