Pat: About Alan Greenspan. You are correct when you say no person can save the world. What is happening to this world of ours. People repeat anything they hear from others. One of the most oft-repeated mantras of the last few years is that Greenspan is the second most powerful person in the world. Nonsense. In fact he is nothing but a bureaucrat, his power is nothing but an illusion. The bond market dictates what Greenspan will do and he has NO say in the matter one way or the other. The bottom line is -- Greenspan is a paper tiger. I wish people would stop repeating this stuff about how powerful he is.
