I'm not sure if I understand your statement or not. The acronym "ATM" is applicable to different subjects. You mentioned "banking" in your post and I'm not sure if you were referring to ATM, as in "Automatic Teller Machine" or if you were referring to the communications protocol.

I think FTEL is referring to the communications protocol. It stands for "Asynchronous Transfer Mode". It is one of many transfer protocols that FTEL will use for their gateway products.

Unless of course I am incorrect (I usually am) and Automated Teller Machines use Asynchronous Transfer Mode to move data between the Automated Teller Machines and the banks central computer systems?

Now I'm really confused.
