*AV*--I would agree with you but there is so much DRAM manufacturing capacity out there that is underutiilized that the producers will still cut their own throats to fill up those fabs.

What we need is more uses for DRAM and other memory products to fill up the fabs first and then your scenario looks perfect.<GGG>

How about 32Meg VRAM for video cards??? Let's go out with digital cameras with 128 Meg of RAM to allow many more pictires to be taken and stored prior to downloading. We need fully functional computers and memories to program all car functions from the steering wheel.

We need a universal credit card that is programmed with all you present credit card information and medical history so that you do not have to fumble through your wallet or purse to find the right card. You pull the iniversal card out, put it in the machine, and the merchant sees a screen with all the possibilities and asks which account you want to charge it to.

And the list goes on. Let's find more uses for memory products to create the demand and fill up the fabs. that will create the shortage and revitalize the entire sector.

PS-Enable every cellular phone with enough memory to accept FAXed documents over the wireless device for future downloading to an IR enabled port of a printer or PC.

BTW-develop any of these technologies and you won't need the stock market to rebound for you in this sector.<GGG>
