Dear Mr. Gauguin: The solution is to remain calm and do not act as if they have alarmed you or caused you to feel self-conscious. One must act as one always does: relaxed, casual. One does not wish to appear stilted or affected in one's writing, despite the fear that one is being observed by thousands of unfamiliar and critical eyes. Write of the topics which we common folk find of interest. Weren't you mentioning to me just the other day how moved you were when you discovered that the Tao Te Ching is always aware of the dynamic unity behind the multiplicity of the world? I know-others might find us a bit simple, but that's just how we are here at DAR, unassuming, a little varietistic, perhaps palladian.
