"Shorting" ? - BRCM...

re: craig c. - I would never dream of shorting BRCM. I think it is a great company with a very bright future. I merely hope I get a quick window of opportunity to buy it in the mid $60's, if we see some post lock up selling. I just feel that it will see some selling, not a reflection on BRCM itself or its future; just purely a result of the post IPO profit taking. 70%-90% of IPO 's imho, see a selloff during this initial ending of the lockup period and BRCM will probably be no different; especially in light of the skittish market enviroment we are currently in.

Also; If I allready owned BRCM; I would just hold through this period - I'm not recommending for anyone to sell. I think it will bounce back soon after the profit taking is over - it will happen; just knowing why it is happening and anticipating the opportunity to use it as a buying opportunity is the key imho.

I wouldn't feel comfortable buying Yahoo or AOL at today's price levels either , but just like BRCM on a major pullback - I would buy.; just my opinion. I certainly do not think BRCM would be a good short candidate in light of their new chip - one could certainly find better short candidates .
