jbe-

I voted for a third party once back in the late forties(state's rights with Thurmond & Wright). After thinking it over later I decided that all I had done was throw my vote away. Every since then I have voted for one of the two major parties-Not always liking the one I voted for, but choosing the lesser of two evils. For some reason I always felt that my vote counted this way. I would very much like to see our presidents elected on a popular vote instead of electoral votes, but doubt it will happen in my lifetime.
