Intel redesigned their Pentium II a year ago. They didn't whine to Microsoft that it was a software problem.

AMD KNEW ABOUT THE BUG, SHIPPED THE K6-2 anyhow, and then yelled "NOT OUR FAULT - ITS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM ! DON'T CALL US - CALL MICROSOFT!

AMD made no attempt to address the problem and ship a defect-free problem - EVEN AFTER KNOWING ABOUT THE DEFECT !

Such wanton disregard for their unsuspecting customers.
