Tony. First of all. Pl. let me know if you are talking about the Intel or AMD thread when it comes to that new poster. I generally don't read the AMD thread and don't want to start if I don't have to. But I guess I will have to go to the AMD thread if the arguments went over both threads. gg.

About At Home. Never hurts to dabble a bit in those internet stocks. I still believe that a lot of them will be good in the future and at this point some are great trading vehicles.

Intel. I think Intel went up because of this Kodak and Intel deal. I am sure it was on the other thread. I have not been there in the last cpl of days and will have to catch up. Here is the article. BTW, this was all over the TV yesterday and I watched both Mr. Barrett and Mr. Fisher talk about that deal. Sounds interesting if it works.

Intel is still being touted by quite a few analyst's.

Glad to hear that you are happy. I am watching football again and my Redskins are 4:O. I knew it was a bad sign when the AMC won. gg.

Good Morning Tony,

OTOTOTO -

Yes I have been very busy. Not much time for research lately, although I did get busted reading the main thread. I was reading the article about the 10 foot Monitor HP developed. No big deal, it was just one of the QA guys and I showed him what I was reading. They just like to give me crap, we have a fun group and it goes both ways. :-)))

I'm still on my quest for our new computer. Wow Micron has a PII/450 for 1899, with a 17" monitor. I still haven't taken the plunge yet. My boss (Mr power user himself) just got a HP PII/400 at best buy for around 1800. I talked him into the CD-ROM with DVD and he had to have 96 meg of memory. He says it has gotten to the point where he can't build one any cheaper than going out any buying one off the shelf. They are coming down so I am hoping in a month or 2 they will be down even more. Thanks again for your advice on the Celeron-A. I think I better go with a full blown PII though, since I do want to do some compiling at home. I would really like at least a 400, but I want a lot of software too so I may settle for a 350.

Did you catch the article about Intel and Netscape investing in Linux?? What was the line about essentially ticking Microsoft off. I see it as a CYA move personally, Geeze Merced is a 1/2 Unix chip anyway. Whats you take on it??

Glad your team is doing well in the play offs. I really don't follow Baseball much, we don't have a major league team here and our Minor team is really lame. Football is about all I follow, usually just college but I always root against the bronco's and the cowboys.

You have a great day and I'll yack at ya later.

Take Care

Ann
