thanks for posting David Molowa's analysis. It confirms my first reaction to the deal, that it is quite significant and provides LGND the cash to make the transition from research company with no earnings to full-fledged pharm. don't know why but i seem to have more confidence in Bear Stearns than some of the knee jerk negatives posted by mudcat etc.

another stock i own, PSIX, got a $500m cash infusion on a 10% note and has been using it to consolidate a lot of small ISPs as it builds its network. i'm really curious as to any guestimates as to where LGND might go in a similar vein. what type of technology might they find complimentary and who might have. Is Ribozyme a legitmate candidate? to my amateur mind, the technologies seem complimentary.
