WASHINGTON, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) has
received a $1.2 billion U.S. defense contract for an upgraded
and integrated weapons support program for C-130 special
operations aircraft, the Air Force said.
The contract, expected to be completed in the year 2009,
includes enhancement and modifications to the weapons systems
of AC-130H, AC-130U, MC-130E and MC-130H aircraft built by
Lockheed Martin Corp (NYSE:LMT), the Air Force said.
The four-engine planes are used by elite U.S. special
operations troops for attack and other missions.
