High Priest:

Apparently you made "history" in "Inside Intel" by Tim Jackson, ISBN 0-525-94141-X. Is the Engel mentioned was really you? Perhaps you could tell us your side of the story. I am disappointed to see people at Intel pointing fingers at employees who made mistakes and publicly humiliated them by mentioning in a book. It is a cheap shot and not noble for the company rated #1 semiconductor corporation.

Paul, Apparently it is not an AMD flaw but a microsoft one that has happened to 333 Mhz P-II as well.
It does not occur in win98 and MSFT offers a free patch(which is an admission of the flaw, or else AMD would offer it)

AMD site has route to free MSFT patch
