He and Hillary have a "great relationship" because they are not divorced and are powerful? I fail to see how being not divorced and having power have anything to do with a great relationship.

So you're really just guessing that they might have a "great relationship", right?

Except when one partner's political success depends on the other.
She got business at Rose Law Firm as a consequence of his positions in Arkansas government, not to mention the grift that also came her way.
She also got positions in policy task forces from him during Arkansas and Washington. She never would have made it in politics; she's not as diplomatic as her husband.

Now I know you are joking. Stay at home Moms get the best deal in divorce court. They don't stay in bad marriages because they have no money. Many may do it for the children or for other reasons, but lack of money is not one. JLA

<<Simple, they are not divorced, and they are two very powerful people>>

I don't see the connection between this and a successful marriage. The relationship they have is one of supporting each other publicly to obtain, keep and wield power over other people. That is not a marriage. They do not appear to have a successful marriage, or Bill would not have felt the need to seek "comfort" with Monica, Flowers or anyone else.

They have a successful partnership, but a failed marriage.

<<2 successful people never have to stay. If they werent satisfied, one or the other would go>>

It depends on what they are looking to get from the relationship. If Hillary's power would be diminished seriously by a divorce, she wouldn't seek the divorce. Same for Bill. Neither one has made any secret of their ambitions, and it appears that they are ruled by those ambitions. When you say that if they weren't satisfied, one would leave, you assume the one leaving would feel that 1)they could do better away from their partner and 2)the marriage is based on love and mutual respect. Maybe Hillary feels that she wouldn't do as well on her own, or she doesn't want a romantic relationship (with Bill) anyway.
