I don't like to speculate on other people's marriages or relationships because nobody can know how they really feel about each other. But I would speculate that if Bill and Hill hated each other, they would not divorce, at least not now. He is her power base, her social base, her lifestyle base. She is his symbol of a normal family life, which he desperately wants us to believe. You ought to see the movie "Dave" since you are fond of equating Hollywood scripts with reality. There are many parallels.
