An analyst report this morning detailed NT's statements and included this comment on their broadband business: "Nortel's broadband business, which contains its high-speed SONET transport, DWDM, and telecom access businesses, was cited as the primary area of strength for the company. This business accounted for 26% of first-half revenues and grew 29%. We note that the bullish commentary on Broadband, along with the muted concerns in CO switching, suggests a decoupling of high-speed backbone markets from the traditional voice switching markets." Could not have said it better myself. PMC's business with them is in the part of the company that is growing, not shrinking. When you look behind the headlines, its nice to uncover what others miss.
