No. Just managers trying to support a lifestyle and image they expect the outside world would require. At the bottom you often see this. It is humorous to watch all the amateurs conclude all kinds of things from it. If there is a connection in this selling about expectations and stock price, there is a positive correlation between manager's confidence in the future of the company and stock bottom. They can't see it. They won't see it until they have a CEO with vision, conviction, and moxey. ATT has to bet the store on their wild changes, I guess NSCP who has far less to lose, can do similarly. In fact, NSCP has nothing to lose but their fear of success.
