I wonder to what extent getting people into your Web site translates into brand loyalty. That's what NTKI is rolling the dice on: give away a CD and then get people to come back again and again in order to build up a long-term relationship. What would worry me if I were an NTKI shareholder is that shopping around is so easy on the Web. Without a tangible, enduring incentive, there's nothing to prevent shoppers from moving on to the next site.
