Plus, there was positive spin in the WSJ article on page B2 that discussed RN's troubles. The article stated that:

Earlier this month, Salomon Smith Barney analyst Martin Feldman lowered his full-year earnings estimates and warned that RJR's Russian business appeared to be suffering more than that of competitors such as Philip Morris Cos. and British American Tobacco PLC. The company's "market share and volume performance over the last twelve months appears to have seriously lagged" behind the others, he said in a recent report.
