Florida Man Acquitted of Murder Thanks to Clinton Defense

PENSACOLA, FL - Thirty-three year old Jeremy Smith was acquitted today of murdering his wife. Although the case didn't involve a celebrity or a well known personality, the trial was was closely watched by legal experts across the country. According to BNN's legal correspondent Johnny Cockroach, "This trial has gained a lot of media attention because it is the first time that legal maneuvers invented by Bill Clinton and his attorneys have ever been used inside of a real courtroom. Lawyers around the country know that this case could change the entire landscape of our legal system."

During the trial, prosecutors showed how forensic evidence conclusively proved that the gun that fired the fatal shot was owned by Smith. Furthermore, Smith's next door neighbor witnessed him pulling the trigger from her kitchen window. Rather than dispute the evidence, Smith's attorneys argued that he wasn't responsible for killing his wife based on a "narrow definition" of the word murder. They pointed out that since Smith never physically touched his wife that "he could not be responsible for murdering her according to the definition of murder that he understood at that time."

It took the jury 1 hour to acquit Smith. In a press conference held after the trial, Smith's attorneys told BNN that, "Originally we were seeking a plea-bargain. We knew the D.A. had a strong case against our client and we wanted to avoid the death-penalty. But after we saw the video of President Clinton's grand-jury testimony we knew that we had a good chance of winning the case. We adapted Clinton's legal tactics to fit our case and the rest is history."

Look Dwight, you are uninformed on the peanut butter in schools issue. And Im not going to let the nutcases here turn this into a partisan thing. The fact is, people with this peanut disease can die if they are exposed to peanuts of any kind. Last year at work one of my coworkers ate a piece of candy from a box that contained another piece that was marzipan(? - apparently a nut thing) - she immediately fainted and her skin turned blue. We thought she would die. This is a very serious matter for the 5% of the kids that have this problem (probably only 1% of that 5% have this degree of seriousness). So, if you have a couple of these kids in your school, you kinda have a problem do you not? So, the principals tell all the kids - NO PEANUT BUTTER - but of course youve got one or two obnoxious parents that think this is some kind of joke and give their kids pb&j sandwiches so they can terrorize these other kids.

Thats what this is about. Think about it, if your kid had this problem how would you choose to handle it.
